JOB TITLE: Human Resource Manager
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
REPORTS TO: Managing Director
LOCATION: Ruiru (Manufacturing Company)
Job Purpose
To lead and manage the full Human Resource function by ensuring effective recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, staff development, and full compliance with Kenyan employment and labour laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and practices aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Manage the entire recruitment cycle – workforce planning, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and employee confirmation.
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, personnel files, and all HR documentation.
- Handle employee relations, grievances, disciplinary matters, and workplace conflict resolution.
- Coordinate performance management, staff appraisals, and performance improvement processes.
- Identify training needs and coordinate learning & development initiatives.
- Oversee attendance, leave, absenteeism, overtime, and other HR administrative matters.
- Liaise with Finance to coordinate payroll inputs, employee benefits, and statutory HR requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with Kenyan employment laws and advise management on legal and regulatory HR matters.
- Manage employee separations, including resignations, terminations, clearance, and exit interviews.
- Support employee engagement, welfare, health, and safety initiatives.
- Prepare periodic HR reports covering headcount, recruitment, turnover, attendance, leave, performance, and other key metrics.
- Advise management and departmental heads on effective people‑management practices.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must be a current member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) in good standing.
- CHRP(K) certification will be considered an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ HR experience, specifically within the manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrable hands‑on exposure to all core HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan employment and labour laws.

- Timely submission of HR reports and implementation of HR initiatives.
What We Offer
- Salary: KES 100,000 (negotiable based on experience).
- Preferred Start Date: 1st October 2026.
